Shutterbugs Welcome Minnesota Zoo Announces Photo Contest
Apple Valley, MINN – January 15, 2010 – The Minnesota Zoo invites photography enthusiasts to enter its 2010 Photo Contest, sponsored by National Camera Exchange. All ages and skill levels are invited to enter for a chance to win prizes. If you are interested in a chance to put your photography skills to test or are just a beginner, this is the contest for you. An exclusively digital contest, all photos will be submitted via the Zoo’s Flickr site (flickr.com/groups/mnzoocontest10) into a variety of categories. The top ten photos in each category will then be posted on the Zoo’s Facebook fan page (facebook/mnzoo.com) allowing fans to vote on their favorites. Finalists will be chosen on the Minnesota Zoo’s Facebook fan page, with the public voting on their favorites. Contest winners have a chance to take home a brand new Nikon Coolpix camera, and the grand prize winner will receive a Nikon D3000 SLR camera. Kids will also have a chance to win cool prizes like a Zoo gift basket or a complimentary week at Zoo Camp in 2011. Winning photos will be displayed on walls throughout the Zoo, the National Camera Exchange stores, and featured on both organizations’ websites.
