Minnesota Zoo Grizzly Bears Turn Five Years Old!
Zoo celebrates with "Bear Birthday Bash" Event March 5 & 6, 2011

Apple Valley, MINN – February 25, 2011 – he Minnesota Zoo's three grizzly bears –"Haines," "Kenai," and "Sadie," – are turning five years old! Come to the Zoo on March 5 or 6 and help us celebrate their birthdays.

Each day at 10 a.m., the Zoo will give a special birthday treat to the grizzly bears. Stop by and say hello to our costume character guests the "Berenstain Bears." There will be fun bear birthday craft activities and grizzly bear bookmarks.

Bear Birthday Bash Activities:

• 10 a.m. – Grizzly bear birthday treats at the Russia's Grizzly Coast exhibit (while treats last in exhibit)
• 10 a.m. – Bear bookmarks at the Russia's Grizzly Coast exhibit (while supplies last)
• 11 a.m. – Bear birthday craft activity at Tropics Plaza (until 2 p.m.)
• 11 a.m. – Berenstain Bear costume character on main level near Gift Store (until 2 p.m.)
