Russia’s Grizzly Coast
Imagine yourself face-to-face with a grizzly bear. Laugh at the playful antics of sea otters. Catch a glimpse of the beautiful and rare Amur leopard. Join the Minnesota Zoo at the grand opening of Russia’s Grizzly Coast—a spectacular new $23.6 million exhibit, representing one of the last true wilderness areas on earth.

Russia’s Grizzly Coast – June 21 & 22, 2008
The Russian Cultural Center “Russian Soul” will again perform a variety of folk dances and music promoting ethnic Russian culture and art.

Music in the Zoo: June – August 2008

Monarchs and Merlot: July 18, 2008 (6:30 – 8:30 p.m.)
Enjoy the beauty of the Butterfly Garden on a summer evening while tasting fine wine and cuisine. Proceeds from this event benefit the Minnesota Zoo’s conservation programs.

Amur Leopard Festival – July 19 - 20, 2008
Join the Minnesota Zoo as we continue the celebration of the new Russia’s Grizzly Coast. This event will highlight the rare and beautiful Amur leopard. Both days will be filled with music, games, crafts, and leopard face painting.

Shark Week Promotion: July 27-August 2, 2008

Family Farm Festival: August 9 & 10, 2008
Enjoy some good old-fashioned fun during our Family Farm Festival at the Wells Fargo Family Farm. There will be music and kid’s activities each day. Stop by the Dairy Barn and watch a cow milking demonstration, or take a ride on the wagon tram.

Looking for a fun, safe place for trick or treating? Come to the Zoo for a day of music, crafts, and treats! Even the animals will enjoy some pumpkin action.
