Zoo Career Days

New dates for next year will be posted soon

Are you interested in having an exciting career working with animals? Join Minnesota Zoo professionals in these exciting seminars to learn about science careers and receive practical advice on how to prepare for the future. Career Seminars are designed for students in grades 7-12 and adults wishing to change careers. Zoo staff will recommend college programs, discuss how volunteering, interning and related-work experience can give them an edge over others, and explain what they do in their day-to-day activities.

Careers to be covered include veterinary medicine, zookeeping, education, aquarium management, dolphin training, animal handling and a special visit from a United States Fish and Wildlife Service Biologist. Participants can attend just one or each seminar. It is recommended that you attend as many as possible. Also included is an optional 40 minute tour of the Tropics trail and a look behind-the-scenes into the Tropics kitchen. This short tour provides insight into animal management and conservation.

The cost for this event is $30. Click on the above link to register and receive your confirmation letter. Please make sure to include ALL names of participants.
