Turtle puppet

Instructions:
This is a good craft to demonstrate that some turtles are able to pull their heads into their shells for protection, and it's interactive too!

Steps:
1. Draw and make copies of turtle feet & tail on green or white cardstock or construction paper (see photo).
2. Cut out feet and tail. Staple the sides of two paper plates together while stapling the feet & tail between the two plates, leaving the top and bottom unstapled.
3. For eyes, glue two small white pom poms to the sock with tacky glue (works best). Then glue two smaller black pom poms to the white pom poms for pupils.
4. Decorate shell, feet and tail with markers or crayons.
5. Put hand in sock between two paper plates and play!
