Komodo Dragon

Grade: 1-2

What You'll Need:
Printable PDF file with instructions and template
White Cardstock
Clothespins
Googley Eyes
Glue (white or gel)
Scissors
Markers or Crayons
Magnet (optional)

Instructions:
This is a fun craft because it is interactive. The mouth opens and closes, it can be clipped onto something, or a magnet can be added to the clip to hold things on a metal surface. You can even use your komodo magnet to hold notes on the refrigerator!

Steps:
1. Make a copy of the Komodo Dragon body and head with tongue on white cardstock.
2. Decorate and color the Komodo Dragon with markers or crayons. Cut out body and head with tongue.
3. Glue the front end of the Komodo body to the top of the clothespin, and the head with tongue to the bottom of the clothespin, putting pressure onto the clothespin to secure it in place. Glue on googley eyes and allow to dry.
4. Attach an adhesive magnet strip to the back of your Komodo Dragon and try it out!
