Explore the world of dragons, unicorns, phoenixes, and more, inspired by the wizardly world of Harry Potter. Compare these mythical creatures to their real animal counterparts, meet live animals and create your very own Book of Monsters.

Girls Rule!
All a.m. sessions
Come explore science and Zoo career opportunities. Through interviews with female scientists and staff at the Zoo, hands-on experiments, and animal demonstrations, girls will build their confidence with science and learn some of the amazing ways women are part of the scientific world.

Pizza Pig Out
All a.m. sessions
Get ready for a week of fun on the farm—and that’s no hogwash! We’ll discover what pizza and farming have in common, learn first-hand what it’s like to be a farm keeper by helping with morning chores and celebrate our hard work on the farm with a “pizza blast.”

NEW! DSI: Dinosaur Science Investigators

Are you ready for a science adventure? Visit the land of the dinosaurs and develop your skills as a paleontologist. Working together we will discover and explore the mysteries of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous period; 248 to 144 million years ago—the time when dinosaurs walked on earth.

Ocean Commotion

It’s a world of constant change and commotion. Who lives in such a place? Come join us and meet the creatures of this wonderful watery world.

Survival Training
All p.m. sessions
How do your survival skills match up to the “fittest” in the animal kingdom? Solve the mysteries of macaque troops and other perplexities of animal behavior using the methods of famous animal researchers. Test out your newly acquired skills during the “final challenge”—surviving a sleepover at the Minnesota Zoo’s farm.
Note: This class is offered Monday–Thursday: 1–5 p.m. with an overnight on Friday, 5 p.m.–Saturday, 8 a.m. (no Friday afternoon class). There is a $25 additional overnight fee.

NEW! You’ve Got Wild Talent!
Partnership with Steppingstone Theatre
9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
1st–6th Grade
Join the Minnesota Zoo and Steppingstone Theatre as we explore the amazing talents of the animal kingdom from leaping leopards to singing and swinging gibbons. Students explore creativity and imagination through movement inside and outside the classroom. Campers then use their talents to create an animal-inspired “flash mob” that performs around the Zoo.
