Animals at Play
All a.m. sessions
Children and animals are naturally playful, but play is serious business! Discover how animals learn and strengthen their family bonds through play. By the end of the week, we’ll understand why play and cooperation are not only important for kids, but also necessary for animal survival!

Animal Olympics
All a.m. sessions
From the smallest to the largest, the slowest to the fastest, the longest and the highest, we’ll explore the fascinating facts, figures, and feats of the wild world of animals. Let the games begin!

NEW! Long Necks & Sharp Teeth
All a.m. sessions
Come take a chomp out of our new Dinosaurs! exhibit and get “hands-on” experience working at a special dig-site. We’ll learn about long necks, sharp teeth, spike tails, swimmers, flyers, big mouths and three horns just to name a few.

Ocean Odyssey
All a.m. sessions
Dive into an underwater world with the help of our bottlenose dolphins, sharks, and sea turtles. Each day we will explore a different habitat including coral reefs, tide pools, and estuaries.

Down on the Farm

It’s time to get “down on the farm!” Come explore our farm and learn how people and animals depend on each other. We’ll spend time feeding and grooming animals, making dairy products and as our sheep say “having a bla-a-a-ast.”

Animals In Action (previously Animal Super Powers)

Faster than a speeding mosquito, vision twice as powerful as a human, able to detect one part blood in one hundred million parts saltwater…it’s a bat; it’s an eagle; it’s a shark! Learn about what makes these and other animal senses so sensational.

Wild World of Music
Partnership with the MacPhail Center for Music
All p.m. sessions
Embark on a musical journey around the world! With a MacPhail Center for Music instructor and a Zoo Camp Naturalist as your guides, you’ll travel to the far off places of Africa, South America, and Australia exploring musical instruments, songs, movement, and wildlife.

Note: There is a $10 partnership fee. No membership discounts apply for this special partnership camp.

Wolves & Dogs, Tigers & Cats
All p.m. sessions
Investigate the lives of canidae and felidae (dogs and cats) in a week full of fun activities! Visit wolves, tigers, and other animals to learn how these wild predators eat, how they compare to each other, and how they’re different from their domestic cousins in our homes and farms.

Zoo Explorers

Do you know the difference between an antler and a horn? Can you figure out what an animal eats by looking at its skull? Is a sea star really a predator? Learn these and other amazing animal facts while exploring the Minnesota Zoo.

NEW! You’ve Got Wild Talent!
Partnership with Steppingstone Theatre
9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
1st–6th Grade
Join the Minnesota Zoo and Steppingstone Theatre as we explore the amazing talents of the animal kingdom from leaping leopards to singing and swinging gibbons. Students explore creativity and imagination through movement inside and outside the classroom. Campers then use their talents to create an animal-inspired “flash mob” that performs around the Zoo.

**Note: There are two groups (Group A & B) of 1–2 graders the week of July 16–20. Please make sure that you register your child and any sibling/friend you wish to attend with them into the same group. Note: No membership discounts apply for this special partnership camp.
