A foxy red coat, flowing ear tassels, and a mane that could win any beauty contest – introducing the elegant Red River hog, the star of “One Red Hot Night!”

Native to sub-Saharan Africa, the Red River Hog will come to the Minnesota Zoo this summer as part of an extraordinary new exhibit, Faces of the African Forest. Joining the Red River Hogs are colobus monkeys, hyrax, dwarf crocodiles, bats, and more!

To celebrate the opening of this new exhibit, the Zoo is honoring the Red River Hog at “One Red Hot Night!,” the 22nd annual Minnesota Zoo Beastly Ball slated for Saturday, April 24, 2010. Learn more about the Red River Hog while you enjoy fantastic food, exciting auctions, an African Bazaar, and a host of other surprises.
