Asian Tri-Colored Squirrel
(Callosciurus prevosti)

Description: Head and body length is 5.3 - 11.7 inches; tail is 3.1 - 10.6 inches; weight is 6 - 20 ounces. The Asian tri-colored squirrel’s striking coloration gives rise to the names of tri-colored squirrel and beautiful squirrel. The top of the head, back and tail are black or dark brown; the underparts are light to dark reddish brown, and the narrow space in between these is white. The fur is fairly coarse and full throughout the body and tail. The tail tends to be flat, and the hair on the underside is relatively short.
