Description: One of the most beautiful cats, large cloud shaped spots, thus the name, clouded leopard. Exceptionally long tail, elongated head and the longest fangs of any cat relative to its size. Color is basically white or pale tawny on underparts; gray or grayish yellow with two broad black bands and narrower dark brown elongated spots between them that run from between the ears to the shoulders and extend in the form of large oval or elongated marks on the back. The limbs are spotted, and the tail is thickly furred and irregularly ringed. They are the smallest of the big cats. Average length, nose to tip of tail, 6 feet; tail is 2.5 - 3 feet long.
Long animal with short, stout legs and broad paws and long tail for balancing makes this animal ideal for life in the trees.
