Harris' Hawk

Description: Adult Harris' hawks are chocolate brown with a flashy white rump and white terminal band on the tail. The shoulders and thighs are chestnut. The legs and cere are bright yellow. The immature's underwing lining is white and chestnut with the breast and thighs streaked with brown.

Similar species: There are no other species in the genus Parabuteo and no raptors easily confused with the Harris' hawk.
