Tiger Cub Cam

Tigers need your help: Fewer than 500 Amur tigers remain in the wild, mostly in the Russian Far East. To help Amur tigers, Minnesota Zoo staff coordinates the Tiger Species Survival Plan and its Tiger Conservation Campaign. Please help us stop the poaching and disease that threatens these amazing endangered animals!

The cubs: The Minnesota Zoo is thrilled to have two Amur tiger cubs!  One was born on June 17 at the Minnesota Zoo and the other was born on July 1 at Saint Louis Zoo.  The two cubs were brought together to ensure the best socialization.  Both are being hand-reared because the mothers did not successfully nurse the cubs.

A Note on Tigers as Pets:
Tiger cubs are undeniably cute, but they do not make good pets. They require round-the-clock care, regular veterinary attention, and they grow up to be large, dangerous animals with huge, expensive appetites. Keeping tigers as pets is also illegal in many cities, counties and states. Please instead show your love for tigers by supporting their conservation.
